City of Cambridge swimmers clocked up a host of PBs in the final weekend of the Midland District Age Group Championships at Coventry.
Adam Oakman, after a stunning performance, now has two national qualifying times to his credit – the 12-year-old had already qualified for the 200m freestyle, but he added the 400 free to his haul with a blistering time of 4.56.02, finishing just outside the final eight.
The club’s youngest qualifier for the District Championships, 10-year-old Jessica Hill, claimed a PB in the 400m freestyle with 6.13.76.
Meanwhile, Jeff Hill, 14, took two long course PBs at the Coventry pool with 2.08.88 on the 200m free and 5.24.57 for the gruelling 400m individual medley.
And thirteen-year-old Charlotte Haines added to her three PBs from the previous weekend, touching on 9.54.64 in the 800m freestyle.
Joshua Pettican also took another long course PB, this time in the 200m backstroke, with 2.40.10.
